Technical description

The hang standard is the system component that holds the system products, for example brackets in order to install shelves, drawers and other storage features. Hang standards are easy to mount and adjust - hang the standard on the top track and move to the wanted position. The weight of a loaded system pulls the hang standards down securely onto the top track, and presses them back against the supporting wall, increasing stability and durability at the same time. Hang standards are made of high quality, epoxy-bonded steel. They have have two rows of slots, spaced 32 mm (1-1/4") apart. The amount of screw holes per hang standard are: 988 mm (38-7/8"): 1  screw hole 1532 mm (60-3/8"): 2 screw holes 2140 mm (84-1/4"): 3 screw holes 2300 mm (90-1/2"): 3 screw holes They can be cut to size, in order to adapt them to the desired height. Hang standards can, in addition to being placed in the top track, also be attached to the wall using the screw holes in the standard, in order to further reinforce the attachment and/or provide a more sturdy solution. 2 metal colours: White, close to NCS S 0300-N, gloss around 85 “Graphite”, a unique finish close to NCS S 8000-N, gloss around 50 Note: as our finishes are metallic/mixed powder, the NCS codes/gloss aren’t exact.

Planning rules

As our click-in system offers creativity and flexibility is how you plan a solution, we recommend using our planning tool on elfa.com. When planning in Elfa Planner, the design tool will calculate the right amount and spacing of the hang standards. The design tool will also help you in terms of altering the hang standard heights. Hang standards can be cut to size, the minimum cut height is when 4 pairs of slots remain from the top. Maximum load per section is 200 kg. Do not store too much on each interior product and distribute the weight evenly across the system. Ensure the material and condition of the wall. A bracket (or other product mounted into the standard) can not be placed in the lowest 2 hang standard slots, since the load capacity is weaker there (except for extension standard adapter).

The daily use of Elfa storage solutions requires both materials and craftsmanship of the highest quality. We develop products designed to last, and our 10-year warranty is a promise of exactly that.
Elfa products are covered by a 10-year warranty from the date of purchase.




What is covered by the warranty?
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. It also covers functional defects in moving components such as wheels, soft-close mechanisms, and pull-out functions.
This commercial warranty does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.

How to make a claim
If there is an issue with your product, contact the retailer/store where you made your purchase and bring your receipt. The store will then inform Elfa. We at Elfa will do everything we can to provide a response to your claim as quickly as possible. However, it is important that you report any defect promptly, and therefore we recommend that you unpack and inspect your delivery immediately.
If you cannot bring the product to the store, please take a photo showing the defect. Take one photo from approximately 1 metre away and one close-up photo with a nearby object (for example, a matchbox or pen) for size comparison in the case of surface damage.




How we help you
In the event of an approved claim, Elfa undertakes, at no cost to you as a consumer, to repair or replace the defective product or component.
Repair or replacement of individual parts is prioritised in order to extend the product's lifespan. If this is not possible, the product will be replaced with a new or equivalent item.




Limitations
Naturally, we expect that you take good care of your Elfa products. A product that has been stored, assembled, or used incorrectly is not covered by the warranty. External damage and consequential damage occurring after your delivery has been accepted are not covered by the warranty.

assembly hang standard You need the following for installation: Screwdriver, ladder/step stool, and metal saw (if you need to cut the hang standard or extension standard). Important notice: If you are combining a hang standard and an extension standard, do not cut the hang standard. Only cut the extension standard (from the bottom). Step 1: Hang the hang standard onto the lower “lip” of the top track. To fit the hang standard into the top track, aim for an entry point where there is a cut-out in the upper lip of the top track. Step 2: Once all hang standards are hung, group them together and install brackets in the selected positions. This is a good tip to ensure the brackets are aligned. Step 3: Slide the hang standards to their approximate positions on the top track. With the end stops at the outer edges of the top track, the hang standards can be positioned all the way out. Tip: If you have chosen a top track cover for your solution—and only have B:60 as section width in your solution—this is a good time to click these onto the top track to help achieve the correct spacing between hang standards. Step 4 (optional): If you want to secure the hang standards to the wall with a screw, do this after all functions in the system have been installed to ensure correct positioning of the hang standards. It is not necessary to fasten the hang standards to the wall; the system will stay in place when loaded. This is an optional step to stabilise the storage solution further against the wall. Use only one of the screw holes in the hang standard; there is no need to use all of them when securing to the wall. When combining a hang standard with an extension standard and adapter, only the centre screw hole on the hang standard may be used to fasten it to the wall (the lower hole is used for the adapter).
