Adapter intended to join an extension hang standard with a hang standard.

Makes it possible to create 3450 mm high solutions.

Screws and Allen key included in packaging.

2 metal colours: 
White, close to NCS S 0300-N, gloss around 85
“Graphite”, a unique finish close to NCS S 8000-N, gloss around 50
Note: as our finishes are metallic/mixed powder, the NCS codes/gloss aren’t exact.

Planning rules

When planning in Elfa Planner, the design tool will automatically add extension hang standard and extension hang standard adapter, when you are planning solution heights surpassing 2300 mm. The Elfa Planner will also take into account which slots that are unavailable to mount products in, where the the two hang standards join, since the extension hang standard adapter prevents those slots to be used.

It is not possible to  have multiple extension standards.

The extension hang standard can be cut, as long as there are 5 slots from the top remaining on the extension hang standard. Always make the cut from the bottom of the extension hang standard.

assembly extension hangstandard adapter You need the following to assemble: Screwdriver, ladder/stool and metal saw (if cutting extension hang standard).

Before you start: If the extension hang standard needs to be cut, start by doing this.

Step 1: Start by hanging the hang standard on the top track. Note that an extension hang standard can not be mounted on a top track - only onto a hang standard (using an extension hang standard adapter). Separate out the screws from the extension hang standard adapter. Bend out the hang standard slightly from the wall and slide the top part (A) of the extension hang standard adapter into the hang standard from underneath. The tallest part of the adapter is the top part. 

Step 2: Fasten the adapter (B) with one of the screws by using a screwdriver.

Step 3: Slide the extension hang standard onto the adapter (C). 

Step 4: Fasten with the remaining screw (D).

Step 5 (optional): If you want to fasten the hang standards to the wall with a screw, do it after all functions in the system are mounted, to ensure the correct position of the standards. It is not necessary to fasten the hang standard to the wall, the system will stay in place once loaded. It is an optional measurement in order to tighten the system better to the wall.

NOTE: When combining a hang standard with an extension hang standard and an extension hang standard adapter; only the middle screw hole in the hang standard can be used to fasten the hang standard into the wall (the bottom one is used for the adapter). Use only one screw hole on the hang standard, there is no need do use all of them when securing the system to the wall.
