Technical description

An expandable valet rod for temporary hanging and/or display of clothes. Easy installation under a Décor+ shelf.

Constructed from steel with a nickel plated finish.
Plastic parts in light grey POM.

Expandable Valet Rod has maximum capacity of 8 kg (17 lbs) outspread load.

Attached into the system by screwing the expandable valet rod in front and back of a Décor+ shelf D: 40 (16""). Hardware included.

Safety function with 2 included clips clicked into the standards, to prevent the shelf from tipping out of the brackets when loaded. Clips in translucent poly carbonate-plastic.

Planning rules

When planning in Elfa Planner, the design tool will guide you where to place a tie- and belt rack. Click on the Décor+ shelf to make the expandable valet rod option visible.

Can be placed in any position, width-wise, on the Décor+ shelf.

When fully pulled-out, it extends 156 mm (6-1/8”) from the front of the shelf.

When expandable valet rod is assembled under a shelf with lighting, it is not possible to rotate/angle the lighting LED-bar.
