Technical description

The wire shelf is a shelving option providing good ventilation and transparency for good overview. It easily clicks into place between two bracket click-in, with no tools needed. Wire shelves are made of steel wire. The double wire at the front and back adds strength without limiting accessibility. Thanks to the wire design, less dust gathers on the shelves, compared to a typical wooden shelf. The shelf can be cut to desired width, to achieve a tailored width of your solution. Wire shelves click in place between two brackets in the corresponding depth. Other products such as shelf hook can be mounded under a wire shelf. The shelf can also be divided into sections with a wire shelf divider. The wire shelf can, in terms of width, be cut to size using a metal saw or angle grinder. 2 metal colours: White, close to NCS S 0300-N, gloss around 85 “Graphite”, a unique finish close to NCS S 8000-N, gloss around 50 Note: as our finishes are metallic/mixed powder, the NCS codes/gloss aren’t exact.

Planning rules

When planning in Elfa Planner, the design tool will calculate the right amount of wire shelves. The design tool, will also help you configure the right widths in the solution, for example when planning a section that is not a standard section width. Wire shelves in click-in system: * Two wire shelves can share the same bracket. Ideal if you like clean, straight lines or want continuous shelving over multiple sections. * D: 30 / 12" shelves are perfect for narrow storage areas, such as hallways. D: 40 / 16" and D: 50 / 20" can be used at the top of solutions to store luggage, large storage boxes and bulky items. * When planning your solution, bear in mind that an even spread of stored items across the shelves is preferable, evenly loading the entire solution. Do not place all of the weight on the bottom shelves. Plan for placing hang standards closer (W: 45 / 18"-W: 60 / 2') together when you aim for heavier loads. Wire shelves between drawer system units: * For drawer system units with standard depth, wire shelves are available in D: 30 / 12", D: 40 / 16" and D: 50 / 20". Wire shelves can be placed between two drawer system units and are to be secured with clips attached to the side runners. The maximum width of such a wire shelf is W: 90 / 2'. * For drawer system units mini, wire shelves are only available in D: 30 / 12". Wire shelves can be placed between two drawer system units and are to be secured with clips attached to the side runners.

What is covered by the warranty?
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. It also covers functional defects in moving components such as wheels, soft-close mechanisms, and pull-out functions.
This commercial warranty does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.

How to make a claim
If there is an issue with your product, contact the retailer/store where you made your purchase and bring your receipt. The store will then inform Elfa. We at Elfa will do everything we can to provide a response to your claim as quickly as possible. However, it is important that you report any defect promptly, and therefore we recommend that you unpack and inspect your delivery immediately.
If you cannot bring the product to the store, please take a photo showing the defect. Take one photo from approximately 1 metre away and one close-up photo with a nearby object (for example, a matchbox or pen) for size comparison in the case of surface damage.




How we help you
In the event of an approved claim, Elfa undertakes, at no cost to you as a consumer, to repair or replace the defective product or component.
Repair or replacement of individual parts is prioritised in order to extend the product's lifespan. If this is not possible, the product will be replaced with a new or equivalent item.




Limitations
Naturally, we expect that you take good care of your Elfa products. A product that has been stored, assembled, or used incorrectly is not covered by the warranty. External damage and consequential damage occurring after your delivery has been accepted are not covered by the warranty.

Assembly instruction: Wire shelf

assembly wire shelf You need the following to assemble: metal saw (if you need to cut the wire shelf). Before you start: Mount the brackets. If needed, cut the wire shelf to the desired width. A wire shelf has a top and a bottom. The middle support wire (A) is connected to the bottom of the shelf. Step 1: Place the bottom of the wire shelf over the notches in the click-in bracket. Step 2: Install the wire shelf with end wires inside the brackets. Lock the shelf into place by pressing down on the middle of the shelf and pushing toward the wall. To reposition a wire shelf after it’s been attached to the brackets: hold by the brackets, and lift the front of the shelf toward the ceiling and outward to release the entire unit from the hang standards. Demount: To remove a wire shelf from a bracket while on the hang standards: hold the hang standard steady with one hand. Place the other hand at the back of the shelf. Pull up and forward to release. Tip: If you have gliding drawer frames, gliding shoe shelf or an angled shelf in your solution, assemble these before installing the wire shelves. This to ensure that the CC measurement is correct - making the installation of the wire shelves easier.
