Technical description

Hook set for mounting a wallband on an inner door, in order to create a storage solution on a door. The hook is suitable for doors with thickness (depth) of 40 mm (1-5/8"). Supplement with wallband 1980 mm (78"), in order to fit door heights between 2010-2150 mm (79 1/8" - 84-5/8"). Hook made from epoxybonded steel. Allen key included in packaging. No additional screws needed. 2 metal colours: White, close to NCS S 0300-N, gloss around 85 “Graphite”, a unique finish close to NCS S 8000-N, gloss around 50 Note: as our finishes are metallic/mixed powder, the NCS codes/gloss aren’t exact.

Measure your inner door to ensure that door thickness is 40 mm (1-5/8") and that the door height is within the range of 2010-2150 mm (79 1/8" - 84-5/8"). Also make sure that there is room around the door blade to fit the over door hook.

Maximum load capacity per section: 200 kg (Classic by Elfa, click-in top-hung system) and 240 kg (Garage+/Décor+). Avoid overloading individual storage components and distribute the weight evenly across the system. Different products have different recommended maximum load capacities. For more information, please refer to the Product Information section for each product, as well as Measure & Plan. Before installation, check the wall material and condition. Elfa's product range is generally designed for normal use in residential indoor environments.

Wipe clean with a cloth dampered with a mild cleaner. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

assembly over door hook Before you start: Make sure that the interior door you are installing on is approximately 40 mm (1-5/8") thick and between 2010–2150 mm (79 1/8" - 84-5/8") high, and that the door is straight. Also check that the wallband you are using is 1980 mm (78") high. Steps 1–2: Start by placing the upper part of the over door hook on top of the door. Then slide the wallband into the second pair of slots, counted from the top. Steps 3–4: Slide the lower part of the over door hook into the wallband – usually the third and fourth pair of slots from the bottom of the wallband. Secure under the door. Steps 5–6: Fine‑tune the sideways position of the solution on the door. Use a spirit level to ensure that the wallband is straight. Steps 7–8: Use the included hex key to tighten the hook. A tip is to start tightening with the longer end of the hex key until you feel the wallband begin to clamp. Then switch to the shorter end of the hex key to make the final tightening. Once this is in place, you are ready to install the storage functions for your on door storage.
