Melamine shelf with a smooth surface and fine texture.
Secure to a bracket for solid shelf with a shelf pin or bracket screws.
Shelf with smooth melamine surface with fine texture, suitable as bookshelf. Install onto bracket for solid shelf with suitable depth.
Made from chipboard with melamine surface, finished on all 4 edges. The shelf is designed to resist bowing under typical circumstances. Our melamine is: heat resistant, scratch resistant, water repellent and durable.
Comes in various depths and widths. Secure with Elfa bracket screws or shelf pins. Can be cut to desired width.
Planning rules
When planning the section measurements of your solution, carefully think about how much weight you intend to place on the shelves. We recommend the following maximum loads based on the following section widths (CC measurement in cm between wallbands):
CC 450 mm: 40 kg CC 600 mm: 30 kg CC: 900 mm: 20 kg
Also, consider the recommended limits regarding how much a solid shelf can/should “stick out” from the metal structure behind. We recommend that: The maximum protrusion for a shelf width wise is up to 100 mm from the side of the bracket The maximum protrusion for a shelf depth wise is up to 100 mm from the nose of the bracket

Assembly Instructions
You need the following to assemble: Screwdriver and drilling machine (if you are attaching the melamine shelves with solid shelf bracket screws or shelf joiners) or hammer (if you are attaching the melamine shelves with shelf pins) and wood saw (if you are cutting your melamine shelf to size).
Before you start: Finish the wallband structure and attach the solid shelf brackets to the wallbands.
If you are cutting the shelf, to adjust for the total solution width, be sure to place the cut side towards the wall.
Step 1: Place the solid shelves onto the brackets and position them carefully.
Step 2a (if the shelf is ""standalone""): In order to attach the solid shelf, the most common way is to use Elfa bracket screws. Use the shorter screw for the front of the bracket and the longer screw for the rear hole in the bracket. See assembly instruction for bracket screws.
Step 2b (when connecting multiple shelves next to eahother): Connect the melamine shelves with eachother, using the shelf joiner. Make sure the shelves are perfectly aligned and attach the shelf joiner underneath the two connecting shelves. Then lower down into the bracket. See assembly instruction for shelf joiner.
Tip: In order to avoid cracks in the shelf, it might be a good idea to pre-drill the shelf with a slightly smaller dimension in the bore hole, before attaching the screws.
