Technical description

The wire shelf basket is a shelving option with a front and back edge, keeping items securely in place, while providing good ventilation and transparency for good overview. It easily clicks into place between two bracket click-in, with no tools needed. Wire shelf baskets are made of steel wire. The shelf can be cut to desired width, to achieve a tailored width of your solution. Wire shelf baskets click in place between two brackets in the corresponding depth. Other products such as shelf hook can be mounded under a wire shelf basket. The shelf can also be divided into sections, and have "end stops", with an added wire shelf basket divider. The wire shelf basket can, in terms of width, be cut to size using a metal saw or angle grinder. 2 metal colours: White, close to NCS S 0300-N, gloss around 85 “Graphite”, a unique finish close to NCS S 8000-N, gloss around 50 Note: as our finishes are metallic/mixed powder, the NCS codes/gloss aren’t exact.

Planning rules

When planning in Elfa Planner, the design tool will calculate the right amount of wire shelf baskets. The design tool, will also help you configure the right widths in the solution, for example when planning a section that is not a standard section width. Two wire shelf baskets can share the same bracket. In order to create a "closed" wire shelf basket, be sure to add wire shelf basket dividers at the edges of the single (or row of adjacent) shelf basket(s).

Warranty & Quality
The daily use of Elfa storage solutions requires both materials and craftsmanship of the highest quality. We develop products designed to last, and our 10-year warranty is a promise of exactly that.
Elfa products are covered by a 10-year warranty from the date of purchase.

What is covered by the warranty?
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. It also covers functional defects in moving components such as wheels, soft-close mechanisms, and pull-out functions.
This commercial warranty does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.

Warranty Provider
The warranty provider is Elfa International AB, Sweden.

How to make a claim
If there is an issue with your product, contact the retailer/store where you made your purchase and bring your receipt. The store will then inform Elfa. We at Elfa will do everything we can to provide a response to your claim as quickly as possible. However, it is important that you report any defect promptly, and therefore we recommend that you unpack and inspect your delivery immediately.
If you cannot bring the product to the store, please take a photo showing the defect. Take one photo from approximately 1 metre away and one close-up photo with a nearby object (for example, a matchbox or pen) for size comparison in the case of surface damage.

How we help you
In the event of an approved claim, Elfa undertakes, at no cost to you as a consumer, to repair or replace the defective product or component.
Repair or replacement of individual parts is prioritised in order to extend the product's lifespan. If this is not possible, the product will be replaced with a new or equivalent item.

Limitations
Naturally, we expect that you take good care of your Elfa products. A product that has been stored, assembled, or used incorrectly is not covered by the warranty. External damage and consequential damage occurring after your delivery has been accepted are not covered by the warranty.

Assembly Instructions

You need the following to assemble: metal saw (if you need to cut the wire shelf basket). Before you start: Mount the brackets. If needed, cut the wire shelf basket to the desired width. Mounting the wire shelf basket: Step 1: With the double wire front lip of the wire shelf basket facing forward, place the wire shelf basket wires over the bracket click in notches. Install the wire shelf basket with the end wires inside the bracket. Step 2: Lock the shelf into place by pressing down on the middle of the shelf and pushing toward the wall. Demount: To remove a wire shelf basket from a bracket while on the hang standards: hold the hang standard steady with one hand. Place the other hand at the back of the wire shelf basket. Pull up and forward to release. Mounting the wire shelf basket divider: Step 1: Determine the position where you want to place the divider. On the upper part of the wire shelf basket divider, you can identify which part is back vs. front. On the back, the divider is slightly sunk - on the front part, there is a small ledge. Insert the back part of the divider, in between two wires and under the back double-wire. Step 2: Grab the front part of the wire shelf basket and pull it gently towards you, in order to create more space for the divider to slide in. Then snap the front part into place. Tip: If you have gliding drawer frames, gliding shoe shelf or an angled shelf in your solution, assemble these before installing the wire shelf basket. This to ensure that the CC measurement is correct - making the installation of the wire shelves easier.
