Technical description

Special hang standard intended to fit below a hang standard, in order to join two standards. Combine with extension hang standard adapter.
Makes it possible to create 3324 mm (130-7/8”) high solutions:
Hang Standard 2172 mm (85-4/8”) + Extension hang standard adapter distance 4 mm (1/8”) + Extension hang standard 1148mm (45-2/8”)
Extension standards can be cut to size, in order to adapt them to the desired height. When adjusting the combined standards height, cut the extension standard.
Extension hang standards are made of high quality, epoxy-bonded steel. They have have two rows of slots, spaced 32 mm (1 1/4") apart.
2 unique metal colours:
Matte White (polyester colour) NCS S 0300-N, fine texture, gloss 5
Matte Grey (polyester colour) NCS S 7500-N, fine texture, gloss 5

Planning rules

When planning in Elfa Planner, the design tool will automatically add extension standard and extension standard adapter, when you are planning solution heights surpassing 2172 mm. The Elfa Planner will also take into account which slots that are unavailable to mount products in, where the the two  standards join, since the extension hang standard adapter prevents those slots to be used.
It is not possible to  have multiple extension standards.
The extension standard can be cut, as long as there are 4 slots from the top remaining on the extension hang standard. Always make the cut from the bottom of the extension hang standard.

Elfa products are covered by a 10-year warranty from the date of purchase.




What is covered by the warranty?
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. It also covers functional defects in moving components such as wheels, soft-close mechanisms, and pull-out functions.
This commercial warranty does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.

The warranty provider is Elfa International AB, Sweden.




How to make a claim
If there is an issue with your product, contact the retailer/store where you made your purchase and bring your receipt. The store will then inform Elfa. We at Elfa will do everything we can to provide a response to your claim as quickly as possible. However, it is important that you report any defect promptly, and therefore we recommend that you unpack and inspect your delivery immediately.
If you cannot bring the product to the store, please take a photo showing the defect. Take one photo from approximately 1 metre away and one close-up photo with a nearby object (for example, a matchbox or pen) for size comparison in the case of surface damage.




How we help you
In the event of an approved claim, Elfa undertakes, at no cost to you as a consumer, to repair or replace the defective product or component.
Repair or replacement of individual parts is prioritised in order to extend the product's lifespan. If this is not possible, the product will be replaced with a new or equivalent item.




Limitations
Naturally, we expect that you take good care of your Elfa products. A product that has been stored, assembled, or used incorrectly is not covered by the warranty. External damage and consequential damage occurring after your delivery has been accepted are not covered by the warranty.

Assembly Instructions

You need the following to assemble: Screwdriver, ladder/stool and metal saw (if cutting extension hang standard).
Before you start: If the extension standard needs to be cut, start by doing this.
Step 1: Start by hanging the standard on the top track. Note that an extension  standard can not be mounted on a top track - only onto a  standard (using an extension  standard adapter). Separate out the screws from the extension hang standard adapter. Bend out the hang standard slightly from the wall and slide the top part of the extension standard adapter into the standard from underneath.
Step 2: Fasten the adapter with one of the screws by using a screwdriver.
Step 3: Slide the small, colour-matching, plastic piece and the extension standard onto the adapter.
Step 4: Fasten with the remaining screw .
Note: When fastening the standards to the wall with screws, do this after all functions in the system are mounted, to ensure the correct position of the standards. When combining a standard with an extension standard and an extension standard adapter; only the middle screw hole in the standard can be used to fasten the standard into the wall (the bottom one is used for the adapter).
